After finishing the downstairs painting, we decided to hit the bedrooms.  One of them was not wallpapered, but had pink paint.  We stripped the wallpaper out of the other bedroom.  We were then able to paint both of those rooms in a day.

We then moved on to the office which we thought had one layer of wallpaper - NOT!  There were 3 layers of paper, and an even bigger surprise waiting underneath.  Apparently, this was a teenagers room (Jonah if the writing on the walls was correct) who had some anger issues.  The walls were riddled with holes (fist size) and other damage.  Any patching that had been done was done with the wrong size sheet rock, so I redid it all.  It turned out to be a major project and mess.

Then finally on to the master bedroom.  Wallpaper removal was actually very easy here, but we had a couple of other items to add a challenge.  The master bath shower was just a shower head at the end of a hose.  Plus there was a bulkhead about 6 inches above my head.  I ripped out the bulkhead and made the ceiling all one height.  While I was doing sheetrock, I also added a shower pipe up the wall for a proper head.

I like a ceiling fan on hot nights, and Bill does not care for ceiling lights in the bedroom.  Solution - Take out ceiling light and add fan; add another switch, and run it to a new outlet.  Problem solved.

After fixing all the sheetrock mess, and painting, the rooms look great.  All we have to do now is grout the tile we put down in the bathroom and put the plumbing back together.

Tomorrow we start ripping out the entry way tile, so we can retile that before the carpet gets here.

Here is a wall in the office with some holes in it.

More holes to patch.

Before patching the holes.

After patching the holes.

Ready for the primer and paint.

Putting in the new outlet. Notice the wallpaper.

Adding the switch for the new outlet.

Tearing out the shower bulkhead.

What a mess. Good thing the carpet is going.

Painting is done and the mirrors are up. We are still searching for new light fixtures.

A nice roomy shower.

Love the new paint. And no more wallpaper with faces on it.

The bathroom floor prepped for tile.

The tile layed out and ready to install.
