I have been spending a great deal of my time working on getting the basement
set up. I wanted to have a place to do my woodworking without
having to worry about getting dust all over. Funny thing about living
where it snows is that if you try to work in the garage, you might find that
your wood glue is frozen. I also wanted to have part of the basement set
up for exercising. Since I have laid the carpet scraps that were left
behind, I was finally able to have a place to start doing my tai chi
again.
There are some finishing touches I still have to do, but at least the
rooms are functional now. It is so nice to have a place to work on
things that need to be done for the house.
I will post pictures of the entire process when I finish up in a
couple weeks.

There was a half wall of latice board for some reason. |

And a lot of crazy wiring. |

I built a wall down the middle of the room and added a door. |

This half will be for exersising, Bill's sewing, and a little storage. |

The carpet scraps will get replaced when we recarpet the house. |

The other half is the workshop. |

It is a very nice size (almost 20 x 30). I got the old cruddy sink we replaced in the laundry room. |

The half wall is to keep the dust out of the central heater. |

Of course Bill gave me a hard time about building the shop, but look who is down there refinishing the bathroom vanity. |
